Just felt like trying a digital painting of a sketch I did a while ago. Still like the sketch better than the painting but hopefully with practice I will be able to keep the essences of the sketch but make it better with paint. Only time will tell I guess.

As the Train Goes By

Painted a sketch I did a while ago and messed around with borders. Not really sure what I was going for but I had fun, so that's all that matters.

Hi there people. Here is another character design I made in Flash. There shall be more to come as long as I keep away from the many distractions around.

Messing In Flash

Trying to do some more character designs and building in Flash. I have more characters in my sketchbook that I want to try to create, but I'm not the fastest at using Flash yet, so you will have to wait. I used a bit of Kid VS Kat as ref for this. I'm still learning though so critiques and comments are most welcome.

OMG Something New

Figured I should post something. Here is a random Fish-man going fishing. Sorry for the ugly lines. I really need to figure out how to use vectors better, probably should have coloured it in Flash instead of Photoshop. Oh well... Enjoy.

Sketches from a Younger Me

I just came into my computer room and found old exercise books on the desk from back in 1994-1995. I have no idea where they came from.
Anyways... I was flipping through them and thought I would share some of the sweet pictures I used to draw with all you fine people :)
Maybe this will take you back in time to the days of old school Mario, Yoshi, Sonic and Power Rangers. What a grand time that was.

Sketch'n

I was scribbling the bottom right turtle things and then had some fun playing with different proportions and ages for this breed of creature.

A bit of a concept of a character my friend Joe came up with. You might see more of this guy if plans turn out.

Another Friend

This time it's my friend Holly. Thankfully she wasn't smiling with an open mouth in the ref pic I choose because I have been having trouble with drawing open mouth smiles. They are hard to get to look normal.

More Friend Sketches

I felt like doing some more portrait sketches so I found more pics of some friends, in this case Meg and Sarah. I think I'm getting a little better than before. Still a long ways to go though.

Come and Get Some

I found a picture of my friend Shane holding a spear and it looked like fun to draw and so it was. I had to make up the arm and hand on screen left cause it wasn't in the shot. I was okay with how this turned out until I looked at the ref image again and realized how many mistakes I made. Oh well... guess that's how you learn.
